Our visit to Dennett's Ice-cream Factory in Spilsby.
"Mr Dennett told us how vital, milk was
to humans and animals. He invited us inside the factory and helped us
understand what milk was made of. He explained how they heated the milk
to 70C to pasteurise it. Then they cooled it to 4 C. Several things are
added to sweeten, flavour and make the ice-cream smooth. It was then transferred
to a huge tank to freeze Different size containers were filled with ice~cream
and put into a very large refrigerated room.
Mr. Dennett makes 29 different flavours. His favourite
is vanilla and he likes to eat ice cream most days. We all tried the strawberry
ice-cream he made for us and ... IT WAS DELICIOUS."
